Before the world premiere musical The Bridges of Madison County begins its run at Williamstown Theatre Festival on August 1, you can get a glimpse at some of the sights and sounds of the new show as the cast embarks on its first full musical rehearsal. It’s called a “sitzprobe,” and it’s the first time the cast (which includes Steven Pasquale and Elena Shaddow) and creative team (including composer Jason Robert Brown and book writer Marsha Norman) hear the entire show from start to finish with a full orchestra. Check out the video below from inside the sitzprobe, and if you’re lucky, you might even get a chance to see the world premiere of Bridges at WTF through August 18. (But don't fret if you're not bound for the Berkshires: You can catch the show when it opens on Broadway in 2014!)
